The width of the blade is between 15/16 and 8/8, generally running to the high side.

The blank is distinguished by use of the purest quality homogeneous steel, which is very fine in texture and demonstrates a uniform and consistent grain pattern.  During preparation, this blank went through an extraordinary and unique heat treating & tempering process which affords this blade a very uniform and consistent interface capability.  The “OLD SHEFFIELD” is designed for the seasoned long time wet shaver who is well versed in the art of straight razor shaving. However, it is also a good choice for the beginner due to it’s excellent balance and handling abilities.
